We’ve had a Christmas tree and a Santa Claus emoji for years, so it was probably inevitable that we’d get emoji for Chinese holidays too. There are plenty of emoji for Japanese holidays already, but it’s understandable given that they invented emoji. (It’s also probably why there are currently over 12 different emoji for trains.)
