International Court of Justice
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is a prominent international judicial body based in the Hague, Netherlands and is the principal judicial organisation of the United Nations. Established in 1945, its primary mission is to settle legal disputes between states and provide advisory opinions on international legal questions. Located at the Peace Palace, it is the sole principal UN organisation outside of New York. The ICJ is recognised for its crucial role in fostering international peace, promoting the rule of law and enabling countries to resolve issues without conflict, thereby contributing significantly to global security.
