He won Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards and Asian Film Awards in 2018 for *Paradox*. Koo founded One Cool Group Limited in 2013, producing films and executive producing Hollywood animated features. He also established the Koo Tin Lok Charitable Foundation in 2009, funding over 100 schools and infrastructure in rural China.
