Truth Social: An alt-tech social media platform, Truth Social is owned by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) and headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, USA. Launched in February 2022, it offers a platform for sharing opinions and statements, akin to Twitter/X, with posts called "Truths". It primarily targets a conservative, predominantly US-based audience seeking an alternative to mainstream social networks, emphasising "free speech". While TMTG went public on Nasdaq in March 2024, the company has reported significant financial losses and a relatively small user base compared to major competitors. Its business focus includes expanding into streaming and financial services.
