Hongkongers rally to demand release of student arrested over possession of laser pens

Hundreds rallied at Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui and aimed laser beams at the Hong Kong Space Museum to demand the release of a student arrested for having laser pointers.

Keith Fong, president of Hong Kong Baptist University’s student union, was arrested Monday on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons”. Fong was reportedly carrying 10 laser pointers when he was arrested. Faculty, students and alumni of the university also held rallies to condemn the police and demand Fong’s release.
