Protesters vandalise Beijing’s office in Hong Kong after hundreds of thousands attend third major march against extradition bill
Hundreds of anti-extradition bill protesters gathered outside the Beijing liaison office in Hong Kong on July 21. Some pelted eggs, while others spray-painted the front of the building. Riot police later moved in to clear them.
This followed the third major protest against the now-suspended extradition bill, which organisers say drew 430,000 people. Many marched past the march’s designated endpoint and headed toward government headquarters, police headquarters and the liaison office to continue their calls for a complete withdrawal of the contentious bill and an investigation into police actions during clashes at earlier protests.
