From actor to visual artist, Simon Yam is showing Hong Kong his true colours

Renowned Hong Kong actor Simon Yam is set to hold his first art exhibition in December 2025 in what is expected to be a showcase of his transition from acting to visual artistry. Yam says his passion for art and photography began at age six and was inspired by television visuals. Throughout his acting career, he has carried a camera and developed his artistic skills by creating art from his photographs. Yam has starred in over 200 films, including notable works like Young and Dangerous and Echoes of the Rainbow, the latter earning him a Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actor nod in 2010.
