An excuse is simply a reason that we give to explain why we have done something bad, or why we have not done something that we should have done. But the problem with an excuse is that it often isn’t true...

Listen to these two people who are making excuses about something they have done or should have done then answer the questions. The first is a student talking to his teacher and the second is a woman talking to her boss.
