Sverre Thornes

Sverre Thornes is group chief executive officer of KLP, Norway's largest pension company with over US$80 billion of assets under management. He studied business administration at the American College in Paris. He joined KLP in 1995 as a fixed income portfolio manager and was in charge of KLP's asset management from 2001 until 2006. He managed the Life Insurance Division of Kommunal Landspensjonskasse from 2006 until January 2008. Since January 2008, he has been the CEO for the KLP Group.
