Viola Gaskell
Viola Gaskell is a Hong Kong-based multimedia journalist from Hawaii. Her new home inspires her to write and photograph her vibrant surrounding, at times hazy contradictions of the city. Her work has been published on Al Jazeera, Hong Kong Free Press, Zolima City Magazine, Rice Media Co (Singapore) and more. She thinks photojournalism is the perfect means to ending up in rooms you were never meant to be in — a backdoor to what is off the beaten path and hidden in plain sight.
