Christmas may be over but that doesn’t mean the year-end party has to stop. If you’re spending the holiday season in Hong Kong, then why not (re)connect with friends and family at any of these newly launched brunches: Alto, Kyoto Joe and Porterhouse offer fantastic views over the city as well as decadent dishes. Musubi Hiro’s party brunch will keep your spirits high, tapas are on the menu at Murray Lane, while Amber offers a free-flow experience alongside its most famous dishes.

Love lobster and all the fruits of the sea? Try the Seafood Spectacular Brunch at Porterhouse, that serves a line-up of cold and hot dishes including freshly-shucked Irish oysters, Boston lobster, salt baked sea bass, Australian Wagyu D rump, crispy Holland pork belly and melted raclette cheese. Priced at HK$558 on weekends, there are also free-flow options from HK$338 per person that include Taittinger Brut Reserve champagne, house red and white wines, Asahi beer and signature cocktails.

Bask in one of the best views in the city at Alto’s Sky High Brunch (HK$488). Available every Saturday and Sunday, kick back with unlimited orders of starters such as bonito fried duck leg served with watermelon salad, and smoked and spiced steak tartare served with crispy tortilla chips on the side. Mains are just as enticing, which include your choice of either yellow spring chicken served with coleslaw salad and cayenne oil; a fish and chips with bonito fried halibut served with potatoes, and a classic English beef roast with Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, carrots and cauliflower.

Who doesn’t like grazing on delicious small plates at the weekend? Head over to Murray Lane’s tapas brunch (HK$498) and take your pick from a spread of cold cuts, cheeses and baked goods. Unlimited tapas are on offer, including potato and mayo salad rusa, tomato salad with smoked herring, white anchovies with garlic oil picada, chilled gazpacho soup with watermelon and much, much more. There’s also a carvery with suckling pig and rib-eye roast, as well as delicious desserts for the sweet tooth such as crispy churros coated in cinnamon sugar.

4. Amber’s unlimited experience brunch

One of the best restaurants in the city has launched a four-course “unlimited experience” brunch. For HK$1,388, step into one of Hong Kong’s most esteemed dining institutions and leisurely graze away at signature dishes such the aka uni, cauliflower and lobster, as well as quail with fermented mushroom and buckwheat. The most amazing part of this brunch? The free-flow champagne. Red and white wine, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, are also included.

If you’ve had a great night and want to keep the party going, test your mettle by heading over to Musubi Hiro for the weekend party brunch (HK$388). Expect an izakaya vibe with unlimited items such as edamame, salmon tiradito, oyster chalaca, queen avocado, chicken wings and shishito, tamago musubi, Hawaiian ahi tuna musubi and kimchi chicken musubi.

Fans of fatty beef can have their fill of the premium ingredient at Central’s Kyoto Joe. Diners can start the Oishii Wagyu weekend brunch (HK$528) with unlimited sushi rolls, salads and appetisers, as well as jet fresh sashimi, all featuring Wagyu options. Also on the unlimited section are a variety of tempuras and from the robotayaki grill, choices include A4 Jyoshu Wagyu short rib, as well as minced chicken and pork belly. Select your main from decadent dishes such as lobster and scallop hotpot and the A4 Saga Wagyu sirloin.
