BTS released the trailer for its upcoming album “Map of the Soul: Persona” on Thursday, drawing more than 5 million YouTube views in seven hours after its release.

Team leader RM single-handedly filled the three-minute video for Persona, the introductory track of the album, with his vigorous rap and matching hand and body gestures.

The video trailer also garnered a slew of reaction videos by YouTubers.

The intro that starts with the phrase “Who am I” is a hip-hop track based on the trap genre, and is laced with rocking guitar sounds, according to the band’s management agency Big Hit Entertainment.

It said the song was created with resampled beats from Skool Luv Affair, the intro of BTS’ 2014 album of the same title.

Big Hit said it used 3D scanning to create a digital humanoid that represents RM’s persona in the trailer video.

BTS will release the new album on April 12, and publicise it on Saturday Night Live, on American TV network NBC, on April 13.
