Sleek kitchen conveniences include Delonghi appliances and a Vittoria coffee machine – well, this is a coffee city with few equals – while facilities include a beautifully designed pool, gym and laundry. Sitting between buzzy Newtown and hipster Glebe, The Collectionist gives guests an eclectic choice of dining, drinking and nightlife options within easy reach. One thing they definitely don’t offer is clear when you read about their “Strict no TV” policy. 9-13 Marsden St Camperdown 2050 NSW The Paramount House Hotel The former home of Paramount Picture Studios has turned into one of the most chic new places to stay in always-fashionable Surry Hills. The refurbished 1940s building now offers 29 rooms, a bar, rooftop wellness space with complimentary classes, a cinema – naturally – and the Paramount Coffee Project café. The size of rooms ranges from “nook” to “mack daddy” while the design look and feel is described as “a mix of heritage with the new”.
