One of the most memorable things that came out of the US inauguration was this iconic photo of Senator Bernie Sanders, wrapped up in a coat and mittens. There’s something about his crossed legs and seemingly bored expression that everyone can relate to.

He’s seen the memes too, and told talk show host Seth Meyers: “I was just sitting there trying to keep warm, trying to pay attention to what was going on.”

It’s been photoshopped into just about every scenario now, but our favourites are where he’s made cameos in popular shows, films and video games.
