HKDSE

Every year, the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) puts around 70,000 to 80,000 Hong Kong students to the test. The HKDSE first came into effect in 2012, and is taken at the end of a student's six-year secondary school education. The exams are spread out over a few months, from around mid-February to early May, with results available in July the same year. The results are considered an indicator of that student's success in their future application to tertiary institutions.
