Spoil Your Folks! Lam Cheuk Wing's entry for the Young Post buffet dinner competition
We asked our readers to write about what their perfect date with their parents or guardians would look like for their chance to win a buffet dinner at a five-star-hotel. Here is one of the entries, which has not been edited
On the seventeenth of February, I would take my parents go to Cheung Chau. In the morning, we would get up early to go to Central by bus. Then we would take a ferry to arrive Cheung Chau.
After arriving, we would have lunch at the restaurant. We might lend a bicycle and ride the bike to Cheung Po Tsai Cave. It is very narrow. It is not allow more than one people walk through. Then we would walk to Reclining Rock near Cheung Po Tsai Cave. There are many different unique stones. Also, there are five megaliths which is like falling into sea.
After that, we would walk to Seafood Street. There is a variety of seafood and Chinese side dishes. We would enjoy the food in the open-air seating. Then we would buy some desserts such as ice-cream, shaved ice.
Next, we would go to Tin Hau Temple at Sai Wan. It has around two hundred years old and now still in use. We would learn more history about the fishermen.
Finally, we would go to Tung Wan Beach. We would sit there and watch the sunset. We might see the beautiful night view there indeed.
I hope I will have a day out with my parents more times in the future.
