Vancouver

Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada, has long attracted waves of Chinese immigration, from labourers in the 1800s, to Hongkongers ahead of the 1997 handover, to the current influx of mainland Chinese students, millionaires and others. Tens of thousands of Hongkongers who are Canadian citizens divide their time between Vancouver and the SAR, a phenomenon that is now becoming widespread among wealthy mainland Chinese.
