Dashing Fellow settled third after handing up the lead at the 1,050m straightened three deep and took control approaching the 200m from Gold Precious for an overdue win after filling the frame in his opening five starts. Penny Lane came one off at the 250m, worked to second at the 150m and closed the gap on the winner. Grand Champion settled third from the rear and three deep with cover, swung the final bend with three wider out and finished willingly to grab O'Socoole close to the wire for a placing. O'Socoole swung the final bend five deep and plugged away to just grab fourth with every chance. Gold Precious rolled to the front 1,050m out from a wide gate, and only lost a placing 50m out despite a return to Class Four. Demokles swung the final bend with one wider out and ran on without menacing. He needs a mile. Newswire Free came up flat after progressively improving following a very slow break. Mazandaran was stopping at 200m.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (324)-NGA TSIN WAI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Metres

NEWSWIRE FREE bounded in the air on jumping, losing ground and then after the 1200 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.

UNIQUE JOYOUS was slow to begin.

MAZANDARAN shifted out at the start and bumped SUPER SILKS.

From the outside barriers, FISHKING THUNDER and RAZOR QUEST were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

For a considerable distance after the 1100 Metres, LUCKY FOLLOW ME proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions.

Near the 900 Metres, DASHING FELLOW and AMBITIOUS SPEEDY raced tight as AMBITIOUS SPEEDY attempted to shift in.

PENNY LANE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

After the 200 Metres, NEWSWIRE FREE got its head on the side and lay in under pressure and near the 100 Metres inconvenienced UNIQUE JOYOUS.

DASHING FELLOW and PENNY LANE were sent for sampling.
