Race Eight: (531)-THE BEIJING CLUBHOUSE ANNIVERSARY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1200Metres
After being loaded, WHY WHY became fractious and then as the start was effected began only fairly.FANTASTIC KAKA also began only fairly.
TARZAN I AM began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room between AMBER DRAGON and SILLY BUDDIES, both of which shifted ground.
SILLY BUDDIES lost its right hind plate shortly after the start.
After initially being ridden along in the early stages, TRUMP was steadied after the 1100 Metres in order to obtain a position with cover.
After the 900 Metres, THE SHOW was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 800 Metres, FANTASTIC KAKA shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WHY WHY, resulting in TRUMP being inconvenienced.
After the 700 Metres, FIONN'S TREASURE was taken wider by WHY WHY which shifted out.
FANTASTIC KAKA had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Near the 300 Metres, THE SHOW momentarily raced in restricted room between AMBER DRAGON and WHY WHY.
W M Lai (THE SHOW) dropped his right rein near the 250 Metres.
WHY WHY, QUATERNION EAGLE and AMBER DRAGON were sent for sampling.

Debutant Quaternion Eagle settled in the box seat from gate one, came three deep upon straightening, worked to the lead 30m out and held off the late surge of the favourites Amber Dragon and Why Why for an upset win. He'll be winning more races. Amber Dragon settled midfield and one off the rails, shifted into the open six deep at the 350m and closed off well to make it close on the wire. He's vastly-improved following a stable. Raging favourite Why Why settled behind midfield and one off the rails, got into the open with one wider out coming to the final bend and was closing the gap to make it a blanket finish. Marvel Tribe went forward from a wide gate to stalk the leader Our Folks, straightened three deep and kept plugging away. to just snare a Quartet spot. Our Folks comfortably found the lead from a good gate, straightened a length on top and was swamped 50m out.
