Recap by phillip woo

Star Majestic was asked to pick up the bit 550m out after travelling one off the fence behind midfield, swung the final bend with two wider out and wore down Superoi 60m out for a a fifth career win over this trip with a return to Class Three. Superoi landed a nice spot one off the fence in midfield, inched closer coming to the final bend, hit the front 150m out and found one too good in the end. Looks Like The Cat set a good clip on the lead, cornered a length on top and grudgingly gave way. Chater Dream enjoyed a lovely run on the back of the leader, stayed to the inside upon straightening and just failed to get up for a placing. He had his chance. Lotus Breeze straightened five deep after a one off run beyond midfield and made some ground without menacing. The Show kept on evenly without menacing following a handy run along the fence. Favourite Strong Foundation covered a tonne of ground fourth from the rear, cornered widest out and came up flat over the final 150m soon after rider Joao Moreira lost his whip. The late-fancied pair of Super Talent and San Nicasio never got going from the back.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (432)-KING KWONG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Metres

SUPER TALENT was slow to begin.

JAZZY FEELING was crowded for room on jumping between STRONG FOUNDATION and LOTUS BREEZE which shifted out.

TEN FLAMES began awkwardly, shifted in and inconvenienced THE SHOW.

STRONG FOUNDATION was steadied in the early stages to obtain a position with cover.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SUPEROI was momentarily crowded for room inside FOODIE which was then shifted out to relieve the tightening to SUPEROI.

Near the 1200 Metres, STRONG FOUNDATION was left racing wide and without cover.

After the 1200 Metres, LOOKS LIKE THE CAT travelled keenly in the lead.

SUPEROI lost its left hind plate near the 700 Metres.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, JAZZY FEELING was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of STRONG FOUNDATION.

At the 200 Metres, J Moreira (STRONG FOUNDATION) dropped his whip.

Passing the 50 Metres, THE SHOW raced in restricted room inside CHATER DREAM.

A veterinary inspection of STRONG FOUNDATION, and FOODIE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of SAN NICASIO immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
