Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (750)-DERBY RESTAURANT & BAR HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres
After being loaded, FIGHT HERO became fractious and reared, resulting in its rider, Y T Cheng, being dislodged without incident.Before being allowed to race again, FIGHT HERO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
WUSHU CHAMPION began awkwardly and lost ground.
BEST REWARD began only fairly.
BEAUTY FLARE began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped JADE FORTUNE.
Shortly after the start, WHITE MAGIC was steadied when crowded for room between SMART DECLARATION and OUR FOLKS which, after being bumped by FOREVER RED, got its head on the side and shifted out away from that horse.
For some distance after the 1100 Metres, SMART DECLARATION got its head up when proving difficult to settle and after the 1100 Metres shifted in, resulting in WHITE MAGIC momentarily racing tight outside BRILLIANT DREAM.
After the 900 Metres, OUR FOLKS was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 700 Metres, BRILLIANT DREAM was awkwardly placed close to the heels of AVELLINO.
BRILLIANT DREAM was held up for clear running until passing the 300 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of WHITE MAGIC immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BLOCKER DEE, MYTHICAL EMPEROR and FOREVER RED were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Mythical Emperor flew the start to lead from a wide gate, straightened near two lengths on top and edged clear to win with something in hand. Forever Red sat one off in second, straightened three deep and kept plugging away to just hold off outsider Hero Look for second. Hero Look settled one off the fence in fourth, eased out four deep and ran on steadily to make it close for a Quinella spot. Avellino settled three deep in midfield from a wide gate, straightened six deep and just out-finished Brilliant Dream for a Quartet spot. Brilliant Dream closed off reasonably well after shifting into the open with three wider out following a one-off run with cover behind midfield. Late-fancied favourite Blocker Dee did not fire after over-racing a bit in the box-seat. Smart Declaration made some ground with one wider out after travelling third from the rear. Beauty Flare made only a mild bid after a rails run behind midfield in his debut. Debutant Wushu Champion never got into the act after blowing the start. Firming late, White Magic never got going after travelling third from the rear despite a drop in grade and gelding operation.
