Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (013)-SHEUNG TAK HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Metres
HIGH SPEED METRO and SPEEDY WALLY bumped at the start.MIGHTY WONGCHOY shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced PRECIOUS GEM.
Shortly after the start, DRAGON GLORY bumped MI SAVVY BOY.
From the outside barrier, BEST JADE TRIUMPH was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, PRECIOUS GEM was left racing wide and without cover and after the 900 Metres was allowed to improve its position closer to the lead, however, continued to race wide and without cover.
Approaching the 800 Metres, SPEEDY WALLY got its head up when being checked away from the heels of FLYING MACHINE.
Approaching the Home Turn, GLAMOROUS RYDER was awkwardly placed behind SAFARI MAGIC.
Rounding the Home Turn, DRAGON GLORY was hampered when crowded for room outside FLYING MACHINE which shifted out away from the heels of MIGHTY WONGCHOY.
Approaching and passing the 250 Metres, FLYING MACHINE raced tight inside PRECIOUS GEM which shifted in under pressure.
Then passing the 200 Metres, MIGHTY WONGCHOY, which was giving ground, was eased when crowded for room inside FLYING MACHINE which continued to race tight inside PRECIOUS GEM which again got its head on the side and shifted in further after being bumped by ISLAND FLYER which shifted in marginally under pressure.
After this, PRECIOUS GEM continued to race with its head on the side and lay in.
Passing the 250 Metres, YEUNG SING was shifted out across the heels of FLYING MACHINE to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of FLYING MACHINE and MIGHTY WONGCHOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FLYING MACHINE, SPEEDY WALLY and ISLAND FLYER were sent for sampling.

Speedy Wally peeled out coming to the final bend following a midfield run and quickened strongly to win going away 100m out to live up to a solid trial. He can win another if he stays in the grade. Island Flyer made a move 800m out to sit fifth coming to the final bend, led 150m out and found one too good in the end. It was a good run in defeat over an unsuitable trip. Mi Savvy Boy finished well with one wider out after travelling worse than midfield to snatch a placing. He's near a rating bottom. Yeung Sing had a checkered straight run and should have gone closer. Glamorous Ryder made a decent bid from behind midfield. He prefers at least 1,800m. Flying Machine was tight for room 150m out following a prominent run as the late-fancied favourite. Mighty Wongchoy was retreating 200m out after taking until the 1,200m to clear for the lead. He was beaten by the wide gate.
