Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (187)-FUKUSHIMA HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Metres
VERY RICH MAN began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of TOP BONUS which became unbalanced.DAZZLE and BORN DRAGON bumped on jumping.
A short distance later, DAZZLE became badly unbalanced when bumped by D B PIN which got its head on the side and shifted out.
On two occasions shortly after the start, MASSIVE MOVE shifted out and bumped ISSAC, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
From a wide barrier, POWERMAX was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 950 Metres, YOUNG EMPIRE shifted out, resulting in D B PIN being taken out onto DAZZLE.
WONDERFUL FIGHTER lost its right front plate near the 850 Metres.
Approaching the 600 Metres, D B PIN got its head up when being steadied to avoid the heels of ISSAC after being taken out by VERY RICH MAN.
BORN DRAGON, which was following D B PIN, was steadied away from the heels of that horse in consequence.
After this, D B PIN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ISSAC.
Shortly after entering the Straight, WONDERFUL FIGHTER shifted in away from the heels of MASSIVE MOVE.
After the 100 Metres, THE FULL BLOOM raced in restricted room between YOUNG EMPIRE which got its head on the side and lay in when giving ground and POWERMAX which shifted out.
Approaching the 50 Metres, the whip of N Callan (POWERMAX) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of Apprentice K K Chiong (MASSIVE MOVE).
In the Straight, ISSAC lay in under pressure.
K Teetan, the rider of DAZZLE, was fined the sum of $5,000 for unnecessary use of the whip on a horse not in contention.
Throughout the race, ISSAC and LUCKY SEVEN travelled wide and without cover.
D B PIN and WONDERFUL FIGHTER were sent for sampling.

Raging favourite D B Pin came on strongly after travelling behind midfield to wear down Wonderful Fighter for a first win at his third start. He's got plenty of scope and remains a sprinter to follow at both courses. Well-punted late, Wonderful Fighter rushed to the front 120m out following a handy run along the fence and just found one too smart in the end to finish a clear second. It was his first run of the campaign and he'll be hard to beat when next stepping out. Powermax got up nicely for a placing after travelling last early on from a wide gate and having to come off heels approaching the 100m. It was a promising debut and he'll get a further trip with more time and experience. Top Bonus was pestered on the lead first by Young Empire and then Massive Move but only lost a placing in the last 20m. He's a winner waiting to happen if he remains in the grade.
