Recap by phillip woo

Showing Character settled behind midfield after easing back early on from a wide gate and responded well when popped the question to take control 100m out for a first win at his 21st start. He had been threatening in a few earlier runs from bad gates but will find it harder carrying top weight in this grade. Forever Fun was gifted an uncontested lead and was overhauled late. He's naturally returning form and won't be far off a win. Latefancied favourite Snowhooves landed a nice spot in midfield from a tricky gate and closed off reasonably well to land a placing. The dirt suits him better. Early favourite Yourthewonforme was given every chance in the box-seat and only plodded when asked for a response. Telecom Boom came on well after travelling at the rear of the field from a wide gate. He's crying out for 1,400m after finding the line well in three other sprints this term. Manhattan Striker never fired after patient ride near the back. He's not reliable.
