Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (786)-POK FU LAM RESERVOIR ROAD HANDICAP (Sec1) - Class 3 - 1200Metres
On arrival at the barriers, MR RIGHT, which had made contact with a rail when proceeding to the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suitable to race.HAPPY SURVEYS and GORGEOUS KING began only fairly.
PERFECT CHOICE shifted out at the start, resulting in HAPPY COOPERATION being taken out onto ARIZONA BLIZZARD.
ARIZONA BLIZZARD then shifted out and bumped HAPPY HAPPY STAR.
After this, PERFECT CHOICE was steadied to obtain cover.
Approaching the 700 Metres, HARBOUR ALERT commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR RIGHT.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, BORNTOACHIEVE was steadied away from the heels of MR RIGHT (U Rispoli) which shifted in when not properly clear.
U Rispoli was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
After this, BORNTOACHIEVE commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MR RIGHT.
For some distance approaching and passing the 600 Metres, HARBOUR ALERT, which was continuing to travel keenly, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY COOPERATION.
From shortly after the 300 Metres until near the 150 Metres, PAKISTAN BABY was held up for clear running.
After the 200 Metres, ARIZONA BLIZZARD lay in under pressure.
Near the 100 Metres, PERFECT CHOICE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PAKISTAN BABY when racing tight inside MOST BEAUTIFUL.
BORNTOACHIEVE was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and approaching the winning post shifted out away from the heels of HAPPY COOPERATION, resulting in GORGEOUS KING and PERFECT CHOICE being placed in restricted room.
Throughout the race, MOST BEAUTIFUL travelled wide and without cover.
HAPPY COOPERATION, HARBOUR ALERT and ARIZONA BLIZZARD were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Harbour Alert poked his head in front 100m following a one-out, oneback run and kept on gamely to finally open his win account after placing in 13 of 22 other starts. He'll find it harder on a win line when next stepping out following a penalty. Arizona Blizzard finished willingly after travelling behind midfield to make it close on the wire. He tends to mix his form but certainly is capable on this surface. Pakistan Baby was unlucky not to have gotten up for the win after being badly held up for a run until the last 100m following a midfield run. The first-time blinkers appeared to have a positive effect and he's one to keep safe when returning next season over the 1,200m on either surface. Happy Happy Star stuck on well following a deep run with cover travelling fore of midfield from a wide gate in his initial dirt. He's shown ability in his five runs this term on both surfaces and will have more to offer next season. Sensationally-backed, Happy Cooperation was on his tippy toes 100m out after assuming the lead from Mr Right 350m out following a breeze-punching run. He had excuses. Borntoachieve was badly held up and never properly tested in the straight drive following a box-seat run.
