Racing Incident Report
Race One: (19) - MAOMING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
After leaving the Parade Ring but prior to entering the track, RICHCITY FORTUNE became fractious, resulting in T Berry being dislodged without incident.
Shortly after the start, TELECOM SUN, which was being steadied to obtain cover, raced tight between RICHCITY FORTUNE and MASSIVE POWER.
Throughout the race, LAUGH OUT LOUD travelled wide and without cover.
The performance of TELECOM SUN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, TELECOM SUN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
K C Leung (MASSIVE POWER) was warned against the practice of raising his whip arm above the height of his shoulder.
After the race, T Berry stated that it had been intended for RICHCITY FORTUNE to lead if possible, however, just prior to the start being effected his mount became fractious which resulted in RICHCITY FORTUNE beginning only fairly.
A veterinary inspection of RICHCITY FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, K Teetan reported that BONUS KING was unbalanced throughout the race and particularly so when under pressure rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight.
He said for this reason he eased the horse down over the concluding stages.

Favourite Super Euro Star kept up a strong gallop after showing surprise gate speed to lead from the widest draw to make it two on the trot despite a return to Class Four. It's taken some time for the penny to drop but he could head higher. Creme Brulee stayed on well following a box-seat run to finish a clear-cut second at only his third outing following improved trackwork. He's headed in the right direction. Laugh Out Loud kept grinding away after a deep run without cover in midfield to grab a placing close to home. He might be able to get away with a race later down the line. Multimax's condition gave way over the last 200m after stalking the speed in second. He needed the run but should be able to get away with a race in this class. Richcity Fortune disappointed following a oneout, one-back run. He's usually consistent but possibly enjoyed the summer break a bit too much after a busy campaign. Drifting favourite.
