Recap by phillip woo

Post-time favourite Rattan quickened very well from midfield despite a slow pace to take control 120m out for a third win from eight starts. He's got more points in hand and should get further than a mile as well. Winwin Ruby fought back when headed by Home Run to grab second in the final bob after pressing forward three deep from a wide gate to park outside the leader Go Beauty Go 1,000m out. He's run well in both outings this term and will be saluting shortly. Early favourite Home Run gave a good sight but did have every chance following a prominent run along the fence. He's honest but has trouble winning. Imperial Gallantry made a steady bid following a rail run in midfield to fill a Quartet spot. He requires a faster pace. Backed late Go Beauty Go had every chance after getting his own way in front. He's on his mark. Amazing Agility got going late from the rear of the field but had the pace against him.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (96) - TAK WAH HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters

AMAZING AGILITY was crowded for room on jumping between WINWIN RUBY and RATTAN which shifted out.

After this, AMAZING AGILITY, from a wide barrier, was shifted across behind runners.

INDIGENOUS UNION began awkwardly.

After initially being steadied to obtain a trailing position behind BEAUTY WAY passing the 1500 Metres, WINWIN RUBY was left racing wide and without cover and approaching the 1300 Metres was allowed to improve its position to race outside the lead by the 1100 Metres.

After the 1500 Metres, TOP ACT was steadied away from the heels of INDIGENOUS UNION which shifted in when awkwardly placed inside the heels of RATTAN.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, BEAUTY WAY raced tight between WINWIN RUBY and GO BEAUTY GO which shifted out.

Near the 250 Metres, GO BEAUTY GO shifted out under pressure, resulting in WINWIN RUBY being inconvenienced.

HOME RUN, which was racing outside WINWIN RUBY, shifted out away from that horse in this incident.

For the majority of the race and particularly in the Home Straight, IMPERIAL GALLANTRY lay out and proved difficult to ride.

A veterinary inspection of INDIGENOUS UNION immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.

Before being allowed to race again, INDIGENOUS UNION will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RATTAN and WINWIN RUBY were sent for sampling.
