Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (138) - POWERFUL HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Meters
N Rawiller (NOTED PERFORMER) was fined the sum of $2,000 for presenting himself to weight out for this race in the incorrect colours.
GOBI STORM and PEARL FURU bumped on jumping, PEARL FURU then shifted in and bumped HAPPY CENTURY.
NO LAUGHING MATTER, which began awkwardly, was crowded for room on jumping between AGIAAL and SPICY DOUBLE which shifted out.
From the outside barriers, NO LAUGHING MATTER, AGIAAL and DOUBLE POINT were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
At the entrance to the Straight, VICTORY FOLLOW ME shifted out and bumped ORIENTAL FANTASIA.
VICTORY FOLLOW ME then got its head on the side, hung in under pressure in the Straight and proved difficult to ride.
Near the 250 Metres, NOTED PERFORMER shifted out away from the heels of VICTORY FOLLOW ME and bumped NEWSWIRE FREE.
VICTORY FOLLOW ME, SPICY DOUBLE and GOBI STORM were sent for sampling.

Pummelled late in betting, Spicy Double came on nicely to take control 50m out after getting a lovely run one off in midfield from a tricky gate to open his win account at start 22. He's improved after a stable change and can win another. Gobi Storm kept up a strong gallop for second after clearing to the lead at the 1,250m. He's a winner waiting to happen. Oriental Fantasia fought on well to just hold third after stalking the speed. He's always capable of a positive run at this level. Favourite Victory Follow Me had every chance but failed to respond when popped the question following a box-seat run. He has been costly but is certainly capable of winning a race at this level. Newswire Free was getting going late from beyond midfield. He's in the right grade but the big weight will continue to anchor him. Noted Performer was again disappointing following a rail run travelling better than midfield from a good gate. He's run out of excuses.
