Race Seven: (223) - CHEVALIER LIFTS & ESCALATORS HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1000Meters
When parading, WATER DIVINER proved very fractious and kicked out on a number of occasions.
When kicking out, WATER DIVINER made contact with the parade ring barrier.
WATER DIVINER was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said that the horse had sustained multiple cuts and abrasions to both hind legs and as such was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of WATER DIVINER.
Before being allowed to race again, WATER DIVINER will be required to undergo a satisfactory parade test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
NEW ASIA SUNRISE stumbled badly at the start and shifted in, resulting in PREMIERE being crowded for room.
HOUSE OF FUN and MAGIC POWER were slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, DRAGON MASTER was shifted across behind runners.
Near the 250 Metres, HOUSE OF FUN was directed to the outside of SEA JADE to obtain clear running and shortly after this improved into a tight run outside that horse.
HOUSE OF FUN was then momentarily crowded for room passing the 200 Metres when SEA JADE (T Berry) shifted out marginally.
T Berry was advised that whilst the movement outwards from SEA JADE was only slight, nonetheless he must make every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground and causing crowding to other runners.
PREMIERE and HOUSE OF FUN were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Premiere hit the front 200m out after chasing the speed in third and just out-bobbed stablemate House Of Fun for a third straight 1,000m win this campaign. He's won six of 15 starts but will need to step up in richer company next time out. Post-time favourite House Of Fun was unlucky not to have gotten up for the win after being baulked for a run at a crucial stage travelling midfield following an awkward start. He's got points in hand over this Sha Tin trip. Archippus was a non-threatening third after travelling closer than usual fore of midfield near the far side. He's as honest as the day is long sprinting on either surface or course but has been finding it hard winning of late. Sea Jade wouldn't fold without a fight after dictating the run. He's always a front-running chance, especially over the Valley 1,200m. Dragon Master finished well on the far side from the back. He's a winner waiting to happen if he can find his way into Class Three.
