Recap by phillip woo

Winning Supreme chased the late-fancied leader Gracydad, assumed the front 250m out and held off the late surge of Elite Boy for a maiden win at his ninth start. It was another fine training feat by Me Tsui Yu-sak to get the to turn their career around with a switch to the dirt but this wasn't a strong test. Elite Boy stayed on well following a prominent run to come home a clear second in his dirt debut at only his second start. He'll certainly come on further for this run and shouldn't be far off a winning run. Navas got up well for third after getting into a barging match mid-straight with favourite Amazing Race following a midfield run. He's a winner waiting to happen likely at the Valley in this grade. Enreaching stayed on all right after a deep run with cover sitting fore of midfield. He requires a longer trip. Golden Effort came up one-paced when popped the question chasing the speed one off. He's still learning but is no world beater.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (367) - PEACOCK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

As the start was effected, AMAZING RACE turned its head to the left, resulting in the horse beginning only fairly and then despite being ridden along failed to muster speed in the early stages.

MAGIC AGILITY shifted out at the start and bumped GRACYDAD.

Shortly after the start, SHINING ON momentarily raced in restricted room between GOLDEN EFFORT and ENREACHING.

In this incident, GOLDEN EFFORT was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

Then after being shifted across behind runners, SHINING ON raced greenly in the early and middle stages and making the turn near the 700 Metres got its head on the side and hung out.

From wide barriers, STAR SUPERIOR and ACTUARIAT were steadied after a short distance to obtain cover.

Near the 400 Metres, AMAZING RACE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ELITE BOY.

Approaching the 300 Metres, NAVAS and AMAZING RACE raced tight and made contact as AMAZING RACE shifted out from behind GRACYDAD to obtain clear running.

Passing the 200 Metres, AMAZING RACE got its head on the side and lay in, resulting in GRACYDAD being crowded for room.

AMAZING RACE then shifted in further and became unbalanced after making contact with GRACYDAD, resulting in GRACYDAD, which was giving ground, being checked and J Moreira, the rider of AMAZING RACE, having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

As the Stewards were satisfied that J Moreira had immediately stopped riding and straightened his mount in an endeavour to prevent causing interference to GRACYDAD, no further action was taken.

For the majority of the race, ENREACHING and HEARTS KEEPER travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of GRACYDAD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of ACTUARIAT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, an endoscopic examination was unable to be performed on the horse due to it being fractious.

AMAZING RACE, WINNING SUPREME and ELITE BOY were sent for sampling.
