Racing Incident Report
Race One: (713) - MOON KOON PLATE - Class GRIFFIN - 1000Meters
THANKS FOREVER began only fairly.
Shortly after the start, BELLA BABY shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of TOUCHDOWN STRIKER which became unbalanced.
Passing the 400 Metres, BELLA BABY was awkwardly placed behind TOUCHDOWN STRIKER and SUPER MODEL.
Near the 75 Metres, K Teetan (STRATHALLAN) dropped his right rein which he was unable to effectively regather for the remainder of the race.
When questioned regarding the performance of SUPER MODEL, Apprentice C Wong stated that after placing his mount under pressure passing the 500 Metres, the horse did not respond to his riding and weakened noticeably over the latter stages.
He said whilst SUPER MODEL did not make any respiratory sound during the race, on pulling up the horse made a number of significant breathing noises.
A veterinary inspection of SUPER MODEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
QUADRUPLE DOUBLE, THANKS FOREVER and STRATHALLAN were sent for sampling.

Debutant Thanks Forever showed a good turn of foot to run away with the race at the 350m on the far side after travelling last following a sluggish break. He showed evidence of inexperience when lugging out under the pump so there's certainly plenty of upside to come from the two-year-old. Strathallan stayed on nicely for second following a prominent run. He clearly benefited from a run in April and there's clearly more upside to come. Favourite Quadruple Double gradually faded after sharing the lead on the stands side following a tardy break. He's yet to miss the placings in three outings but is still on a learning curve. Bella Baby was grinding away in fourth after being held up in traffic until the 400m travelling second from the rear. It was a decent debut but needs more time and education. Super Model faded badly after vying for the lead with Quadruple Double. It was a disappointing run with a 10-pound claimer in play after a debut second not long ago.
