Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (266) - KOWLOON TSAI PARK HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
After leaving the Parade Ring but prior to entering the track, GOBI STORM became fractious and made contact with a rail, resulting in its rider, M L Yeung, being dislodged without incident.
A veterinary examination of GOBI STORM found that horse to be suitable to race.
STARLOT, which was fractious in the barriers, lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and consequently lost ground.
STARLOT was then steadied away from the heels of ROCHFORD on jumping when that horse shifted out after being bumped by THE HAPPY BUNCH.
Shortly after the start, RUMBA DELAGO became badly unbalanced after bumping with PERFECT CHOICE.
GREAT SON shifted in at the start and bumped JIMSON THE FAMOUS.
From the outside barrier, SURE SUPREME was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the 800 Metres, RAICHU was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, ROCHFORD became unbalanced after being heavily bumped by THE HAPPY BUNCH which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out.
RAICHU, which was racing to the outside of ROCHFORD, was taken wider as a consequence.
ROCHFORD was also left racing wide and without cover after this incident.
Approaching the 400 Metres, PERFECT CHOICE was awkwardly placed behind GREAT SON.
Approaching the 200 Metres, GREAT SON raced tight outside THE HAPPY BUNCH.
A veterinary inspection of STARLOT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
STAR SUPERIOR and ROCHFORD were sent for sampling.

Star Superior came with a bold move down the middle of the track after a patient ride four from the back to grab victory 80m out. This dirt specialist had been out of form but the key was a class drop. Favourite Rochford did lose some momentum when taking a bad step 660m out trailing the leader, balanced up to hit the front 150m out and found one better in the end. Jimson The Famous finished nicely two from the right after settling fourth from the rear to grab a placing. He's racing well but has trouble saluting. Great Son just out-bobbed Perfect Choice for fourth following a one-off run in midfield. He's gone all right in his three sprints on both surfaces this term and isn't far off a bottom. Perfect Choice made a steady bid from behind midfield. He's a shade more effective on the turf. Gobi Storm folded 150m out after setting even fractions in front from a wide gate. He produces an odd good run now and then but the mile suits him better.
