Recap by phillip woo

Odds-on favourite Frustrated shot clear 200m out after reclaiming the lead from Mr Right to make it back-to-back wins. He was a class above the rest and should remain competitive up in grade off a lighter weight. Travel Datuk finished well worse than midfield to easily grab second with money coming for him late. He's itching to erase his maiden status. General Iron came on from behind midfield to just take third ahead of Everbrave. He's been racing consistently well over this trip without winning this term. Everbrave stayed on well following a deep run settling worse than midfield from a wide gate. Mr Right was retreating 150m out after clearing to the front 800m out.Specked late Alcazar was getting going late from near the back. He has been racing better of late and can bob up soon over a longer trip if not in Class Five. Iron King never ran on travelling third from the rear in his first start over this track. He'll require more education.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (533) - THE INDIAN RECREATION CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1000Meters

DREAM WARRIORS was very slow to begin.

Before being allowed to race again, DREAM WARRIORS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

ALCAZAR began very awkwardly and shortly after the start got its head up when crowded for room between LIGHTNING STEED and IRON KING which was taken out by MR RIGHT.

In this incident, both IRON KING and ALCAZAR lost ground.

FRUSTRATED shifted out at the start and bumped TRAVEL DATUK.

From wide barriers, EVERBRAVE and GENERAL IRON were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

Near the 850 Metres, GENERAL IRON (N Callan) shifted in and bumped IRON KING which got its head up and became unbalanced.

N Callan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, BLADE RACER got its head on the side, lay out and raced tight inside YOUNG EMPIRE.

IRON KING made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly and shifted out.

Approaching the 100 Metres, ALCAZAR shifted in and inconvenienced IRON KING.

Throughout the race, HAPPY GOOD GUYS travelled wide and without cover.

When questioned regarding the performance of LIGHTNING STEED, J Moreira stated that he was able to obtain a good position in the early stages in advance of midfield.

He said LIGHTNING STEED travelled well and he was able to shift to the outside of YOUNG EMPIRE rounding the Home Turn to make his run.

He said however LIGHTNING STEED did not quicken as he thought it would in the early part of the Straight and then was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to run on over the latter stages of the race.

A veterinary inspection of LIGHTNING STEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of IRON KING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

FRUSTRATED and TRAVEL DATUK were sent for sampling.
