Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (50) - ISLAND HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
K Teetan (VICTORY MARCH) was fined the sum of $2,000 for presenting himself to be weighed out with the incorrect saddle cloth number.
ROCKAGE began very awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground.
Before being allowed to race again, ROCKAGE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.
SHOW MISSION began only fairly.
GREAT SON began awkwardly and then travelled wide and without cover until near the 550 Metres.
VICTORY MARCH and AFTER ME were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, GOUTEN OF GARO was awkwardly placed outside the heels of RICHCITY FORTUNE which shifted out.
After the 1100 Metres, ASSOCIATION FANS was awkwardly placed behind ADONIS as that horse was steadied to obtain cover behind RICHCITY FORTUNE.
Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, VICTORY MARCH commenced to travel keenly and then passing the 800 Metres was steadied away from the heels of AFTER ME (A Sanna) which shifted in when not properly clear.
A Sanna was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
YOUNG EMPIRE lost its right front plate after the 800 Metres.
Making the turn near the 550 Metres, GREAT VICTORY shifted out and bumped VICTORY MARCH.
After the race, J Moreira stated that YOUNG EMPIRE did not feel comfortable in its action at any stage of the race and that the horse was reluctant to stretch out.
A veterinary inspection of YOUNG EMPIRE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG EMPIRE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

COMPASSION STAR and ADONIS were sent for sampling.

Compassion Star kept on gamely after hitting the front near the 150m following a positive ride one off in third from a wide gate. Favourite Adonis stayed on well for second travelling effectively one-out, one-back. It was another good effort carrying more weight following a Sha Tin win. Gouten Of Garo ran on a non-threatening third following a midfield run on the fence. Association Fans finished well to fill the frame after making his run one off behind midfield. He's not easy to get right and is better suited over a longer trip. After Me made some ground without menacing from beyond midfield. He's gone to the line reasonably well in both starts. Great Son was plodding near the 150m after rolling forward following a sluggish start to eventually press the leader Richcity Fortune 600m out in his first run for the Paul O'Sullivan yard. Young Empire gave up 150m out after being short of room early straight following a box-seat run.
