The money was spot on for Flying Godspell, who took control 100m out after easing into the open rounding the final bend following a dream run on the back of the leaders from gate one. Old-timer The Show closed well to grab second 20m out following a one-off run behind midfield. He's returned to form in his past two starts and can salute at any moment. Amazing closed off well after a patient ride second from the back to get the head down at the right time in a blanket finish for third. Jolly Convergence stayed on well following a prominent run. He's not far off a bottom over this course and distance. Sensationally backed Exceptional Desire just lost a placing after rolling to the front 250m out stalking the leader Mr Wiseguy from a wide alley. He's one to keep safe over this Valley trip from a better draw. After Me didn't fire after a dream run on the fence. He might be on his mark after a second win last month from his past three starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (334) - CLUB STREET HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

PERFECT TO PLAY lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and consequently began only fairly.

JOY AVENUE and NICK KICK bumped at the start.

JOY AVENUE then became unbalanced and lost ground when crowded for room between NICE KICK and KING PRINT which shifted out.

From wide barriers, AMAZING and MY FAMILY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Near the 1150 Metres, JOLLY CONVERGENCE and THE SHOW bumped.

Then passing the 1100 Metres, NICE KICK was awkwardly placed outside THE SHOW when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.

JOY AVENUE, which was following, got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NICE KICK in consequence.

Then for the majority of the race, NICK KICK travelled wide and without cover.

Passing the 500 Metres, JOLLY CONVERGENCE was steadied when unable to improve between FLYING GODSPELL which shifted out marginally and NICE KICK which improved quickly around JOLLY CONVERGENCE.

Passing the 250 Metres, AFTER ME was shifted in away from the heels of MR WISEGUY to obtain clear running.

A veterinary inspection of NICE KICK and AFTER ME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

FLYING GODSPELL and THE SHOW were sent for sampling.
