Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (145) - SPEED VISION HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
STRIVE FOR GLORY began very awkwardly and lost ground.
HAPPY FORTUNE began awkwardly.
WINNING ENDEAVOUR began only fairly and then was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SUPER COMMANDER shortly after the start.
After this, from a wide barrier, WINNING ENDEAVOUR was shifted across behind runners.
From wide barriers, SUPER COMMANDER and WINSTON'S LAD were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, STORM WARNINGS became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by SERIOUS LIAISON.
Approaching the 800 Metres, STORM WARNINGS got its head up and travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover behind MIG ENERGY.
After the 700 Metres, SKY DARCI was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 500 Metres, WINNING ENDEAVOUR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SERIOUS LIAISON.
After this, WINNING ENDEAVOUR continued to be awkwardly placed behind SERIOUS LIAISON before improving into tight running between that horse and WINSTON'S LAD passing the 400 Metres.
Near the 450 Metres, MEHBOOB and HARDLY SWEARS made contact as a result of MEHBOOB shifting in away from STORM WARNINGS.
Near the 250 Metres, STORM WARNINGS was bumped by SKY DARCI (J Moreira) which shifted in.
J Moreira was warned against the practice of allowing his mounts to shift ground and making unnecessary contact with other runners.
STORM WARNINGS and SKY DARCI then raced tight for a short distance.
Passing the 250 Metres, HARDLY SWEARS raced tight inside MEHBOOB which improved into tight running inside MIG ENERGY.
After the 200 Metres, HARDLY SWEARS lay in and proved reluctant to shift to the outside of NEXTMODEL to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of MIG ENERGY immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, MIG ENERGY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SKY DARCI and STORM WARNINGS were sent for sampling.

Favourite Sky Darci defied a wide without cover run better than midfield from a wide gate to win going away 100m out for a third win from six starts. He's going places and remains one to follow. Storm Warnings stayed on well for second after a one-off run chasing the speed in third. He appears to be heading in the right direction after flashes of ability in two Sha Tin defeats last term. Hardly Swears ran on steadily to finish a nonthreatening third following a rail run in midfield. He's racing well but keeps finding one or two too smart in his three runs this term. Winning Endeavour finished nicely to fill the frame after a patient ride second from the rear. Mehboob produced only a mild bid following a one-off run in midfield. He ran flat carrying only three pounds more following a last-start win. Nextmodel grudgingly gave way after getting pestered in front by Mig Energy. Mig Energy went forward from a tricky gate to lead or share the lead.
