Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (204) - MORSE PARK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
CLASSIC POSH shifted out at the start, resulting in RUNNING GUY being hampered and CLASSIC POSH becoming unbalanced.
FIRE BALL began very awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and bumped CHARITY GRACE.
PICHU began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of EVERYONE'S DELIGHT.
After this, from a wide barrier, PICHU was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
SCENIC SWEETIE shifted in at the start and bumped STAY CHILL.
From a wide barrier, GOLDEN LINK was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, PICHU commenced to race keenly and was awkwardly placed behind CHARITY GRACE.
After the 900 Metres, IMPECCABLE FELLOW was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 900 Metres, CHARITY GRACE got its head on the side and lay out.
PICHU, which was following CHARITY GRACE and continuing to travel keenly, got its head up and shifted out when steadied.
After the 600 Metres, PICHU got its head on the side and lay out.
STAY CHILL had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Approaching the 300 Metres, CHARITY GRACE and STAY CHILL bumped.
Near the 150 Metres, GOLDEN LINK was momentarily crowded for room inside CHARITY GRACE (J Moreira) which shifted in away from the heels of HARD PROMISE as that horse was giving ground.
J Moreira was advised to exercise due care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
For the majority of the race, GALLANT CROWN travelled wide and without cover.
Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of J Moreira (CHARITY GRACE), 5th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse's finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race where circumstances permit.
After the race, C Schofield reported that HARD PROMISE gave ground quickly in the early part of the Straight and then did not finish off the race.
A veterinary inspection of HARD PROMISE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HARMONY N BLESSED and EVERYONE'S DELIGHT were sent for sampling.

Newcomer Harmony N Blessed won impressively cornering two lengths on top after showing gate speed to find the front along the fence 800m out from a good draw as the favourite. He has a bright future. Everyone's Delight stayed on very well for second after chasing the speed in third but again found another smart one too good for a second straight run. He remains one to follow. Fire Ball closed off reasonably well after a handy run on the fence to finish a clear third at massive odds. It was a vastly improved effort with the blinkers off and switch to Sha Tin. Classic Posh ran on steadily to finish a distant fourth following a one-off run travelling behind midfield. He might also be looking forward to a longer trip. Well backed Charity Grace was able to get up for a pay slip making his run towards the rear despite interference 800m out. Stay Chill kept on all right after a three-wide run with cover behind midfield in a much improved first-up effort.
