Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (207) - THE JOCKEY CLUB SPRINT - Class G2 - 1200Meters
RATTAN was slow to begin.
From the outside barriers, FAT TURTLE and WISHFUL THINKER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 900 Metres, BIG PARTY lay in and brushed the hindquarters of COMPUTER PATCH.
Making the turn near the 900 Metres, VOYAGE WARRIOR lost ground when crowded for room between HOT KING PRAWN and STRONGER which got its head on the side, made the turn awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of BIG PARTY.
VOYAGE WARRIOR had difficulty obtaining clear running passing the 200 Metres and then after the 100 Metres raced tight outside the heels of COMPUTER PATCH.
STRONGER had some difficulty obtaining clear running near the 150 Metres.
Close to the finishing line, RATTAN shifted in under pressure, requiring its rider to stop riding and straighten his mount.
Throughout the race, HOT KING PRAWN travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, M Chadwick (BIG TIME BABY) reported that at its first up run this season, the horse's condition gave out in the Straight which resulted in it giving ground over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection of BIG TIME BABY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of WISHFUL THINKER immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, WISHFUL THINKER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HOT KING PRAWN and COMPUTER PATCH were sent for sampling.

Hot King Prawn held on well after hitting the front 150m out despite a wide without cover run in a handy spot. At set weights his class prevailed in the end. Favourite Computer Patch stuck on gamely to just hold second after sharing the lead with Big Time Baby. He ran well in defeat despite giving the winner 13 pounds in the handicaps. Rattan flashed home late travelling a distant last following a slow start. He lived up to an improved effort last start. Plunged late Voyage Warrior was held up for most the straight following a midfield run. Big Party had his chance but came up flat over the last 100m following a speed-chasing run. He's just not good enough at set weights. Fat Turtle closed off reasonably well to just miss a pay cheque after getting held up for a run until the 250m following a patient ride fourth from the rear. Stronger wasn't beaten far in the end despite being short of room at times along the inside travelling better than midfield.
