In a blanket finish of five, Celestial Power timed things to perfection to just to just deny Zebrowski with a move near the outside after slotting four back with cover one off the fence. He's returned an improved runner to win two of three starts this term. Zebrowski was just touched off working to the front 30m out after recovering from a slow start to settle one-out, one-back. It was a solid performance. Berlin Tango ran on well to make it close on the wire after settling three back on the fence. He isn't reliable but is capable. Flying Quest lost a placing in the dying strides after working to a narrow lead near the 100m. He's an honest old-timer. Firming favourite C P Brave finished level for fourth after racing to the lead 350m out following a box-seat run. He had every chance but wasn't beaten far in the end. Well-backed late Beauty Fit ran on without menacing from behind midfield. The mile trip seems to suit him best. Charity Go ran on without menacing from towards the rear. He'll be an interesting prospect shortly in Class Three. Looking Great weakened near the 100m after getting his own way in front from a middle gate. He's still working on his fitness.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (195) - BOC CREDIT CARD HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1800Meters

ZEBROWSKI began awkwardly and bumped the outside of its gate, resulting in the horse losing ground.

From wide barriers, CHARITY GO and ENJOYING were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the 1700 Metres, CELESTIAL POWER got its head up when awkwardly placed outside the heels of CALIFORNIA TEN as CELESTIAL POWER was being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.

Near the 1650 Metres, CALIFORNIA TEN shifted out away from the heels of ZEBROWSKI.

The performance of CHEFANO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, CHEFANO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of CHEFANO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the race, K Teetan reported that, in his opinion, CALIFORNIA TEN's failure to finish off the race was attributable to the horse travelling too keenly in the early and middle stages.
