Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (235) - FRANCE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
FEARLESS FIRE stumbled at the start, shifted in and bumped STAY CHILL which became unbalanced after being crowded for room between FEARLESS FIRE and HEROIC CHAMPION which shifted out.
STAY CHILL then shifted in and bumped HEROIC CHAMPION.
BULLETPROOF began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, MING WARRIOR, SEAWEED FORTUNE and ZONE D were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
ALL JOYFUL was also steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, MING WARRIOR got its head up when awkwardly placed outside ALL JOYFUL when being steadied to obtain cover behind that horse.
FEARLESS FIRE lost its right hind plate after passing the winning post on the first occasion.
HAPPY LAND travelled wide and without cover in the early stages and passing the 1000 Metres was allowed to improve its position and continued to race wide until passing the 600 Metres at which point the horse shifted in to race outside the lead.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, BULLETPROOF was awkwardly placed inside the heels of HAPPY LAND.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, PASSING FASHION momentarily raced in restricted room inside the heels of STAY CHILL.
At the entrance to the Straight, MING WARRIOR shifted out and brushed the hindquarters of EMBARKED.
Near the 350 Metres, PASSING FASHION was crowded for room inside ALL JOYFUL which, after improving into tight running inside EMBARKED which was giving ground, was taken in by that horse which shifted in marginally.
As the Stewards were of the opinion that there was no carelessness exhibited by any rider in this incident, no further action was taken.
Over the latter stages, FEARLESS FIRE lay out under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of EMBARKED and ALL JOYFUL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FEARLESS FIRE and ZONE D were sent for sampling.

Well-backed late Fearless Fire kept on gamely to hold onto the win after shaking off a brief challenge by Happy Land 550m out jumping to the front from gate three. He relished a return to Class Four and continued his fine association with Blake Shinn. Favourite Zone D rattled home strongly down the outside to finish a close second after switching off at the back from a wide draw. He's a made a solid impression in both starts this term. Bulletproof stayed on well for a placing after a wide trip with cover in midfield. He's close to a win after filling the frame in his past two runs. V Chevaliers ran on steadily without threatening the top three after a wide with cover run behind midfield. He can bob up at any moment after filling the frame in his three outings this term. Seaweed Fortune peaked on his run 100m out after biding his time third last from a wide draw. The big weight took its toll following a last-start success. Ming Warrior ran on without menacing after making his run among the back-markers. It was one of his better runs to date from 12 starts. All Joyful never landed a blow after settling five back and one off the fence with cover. He requires a stronger pace.
