Odds-on favourite Sakewin responded nicely to win with something in hand when asked for an effort 250m out straightening a length on top leading from gate four. He's now two-from-two and remains one to follow. Drops of God ran on well to finish a clear-cut second after a prominent run carrying top weight. It was a good run but the 19-pound pull in the weights was too much. Punted late Phoenix Light ran on steadily near the inside to fill a placing after a rail run behind midfield. He's naturally settling in on his four starts. War Weapon got going two from the right to fill the frame after a patient ride three from the rear. He's not easy to get right. Well-backed Our Lucky Glory ran on steadily without menacing after a one-off trip in midfield. He's given a decent sight three times over the 1,200m from his four starts but is still acclimatising. Shining Gem never got into the act after settling one off worse than midfield. He didn't seem to handle the going.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eleven: (634) - GAME SPIRIT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

RECIPROCATION began only fairly.

COMMANDING MISSILE began awkwardly and was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Despite being vigorously ridden in the early stages, REGENCY BO BO failed to muster speed.

Also despite being vigorously ridden for some distance in the early stages, HARMONY WIN WIN was slow to muster speed and after the 1000 Metres was steadied to obtain cover when racing wide.

Passing the 1100 Metres, OUR LUCKY GLORY shifted in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SAKEWIN.

Near the 900 Metres, OUR LUCKY GLORY got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of DIAMOND BRILLIANT (H Bentley) which shifted in when not properly clear.

H Bentley was severely reprimanded and told to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance when crossing other runners in future.

Passing the 500 Metres, REGENCY BO BO was shifted out away from the heels of WAR WEAPON.

Passing the 200 Metres, OUR LUCKY GLORY shifted out under pressure.

Throughout the race, MR VALIANT travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, it was noted that DIAMOND BRILLIANT had blood at its left nostril.

An endoscopic examination conducted on DIAMOND BRILLIANT found there to be no blood in the trachea and accordingly the horse was not deemed to have bled.

Also after the race, it was reported that COMMANDING MISSILE had sustained a small abrasion to the left hind leg.

A veterinary inspection of MR VALIANT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SAKEWIN and DROPS OF GOD were sent for sampling.

Races 3 to 6 were each put back 5 minutes.

After the running of Race 2, the track classification was officially changed from "Good??to "Good to Yielding?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
