Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (764) - GAGE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
PERFECT PEACH began awkwardly.
WHAT A LEGEND was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Also from the outside barrier, SHADOW RUNNER was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the 1100 Metres, TOUCH FAITH was awkwardly placed outside the heels of AMBITIOUS HEART when being steadied to obtain cover.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, PERFECT PEACH, which was reluctant to maintain its position inside WHAT A LEGEND, shifted out abruptly across the heels of that horse, resulting in PERFECT PEACH being checked and losing ground.
Approaching the 50 Metres, HERCULES and PLEASANT ENDEAVOR brushed.
After the race, B Shinn expressed concern regarding the action of DREAM BOSS which throughout the race travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of DREAM BOSS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of DREAM BOSS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, DREAM BOSS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of PERFECT PEACH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PLEASANT ENDEAVOR, AMBITIOUS HEART and HARMONY N HOME were sent for sampling.

Old-timer Ambitious Heart took control 100m out after a one-off run better than midfield for a sixth career win. He did put the writing on the wall with a runner-up result two starts back. Harmony N Home ran on nicely after saving ground in midfield to finish a close second. He's well rated and can bob up at any moment. Turin Warrior finished well three from the right after a one-off trip worse than midfield to nearly take second. It was clearly his best run to date from eight starts. Happy Sharing was on his tippy toes 100m out after getting his own way in front from gate three. It was another honest effort but the big weight yet again took its toll. Favourite Pleasant Endeavor had no excuse after a box-seat run. He couldn't repeat a last-start win carrying a big weight here. Hercules ran on without menacing from near the back. He wasn't suited by the slow pace. What A Legend made some ground late near the outside after biding his time one from the rear. He was at the mercy of a paceless race. Punted late, Shadow Runner will sleep well after travelling wide without cover behind midfield the entire trip. Perfect Peach had trouble staying in touch at the back. It was an out-of-character effort.
