Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (134) - HUIZHOU HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
E RAINBOW began only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room between LYRICAL MOTION which shifted out away from PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN and SUPER COMMANDER which shifted in abruptly after being bumped by MOMENTUM GALAXY.
CIRCUIT SEVEN shifted out shortly after the start and bumped ACE TALENT which was taken out and in turn bumped FABULOUS EIGHT, causing ACE TALENT and FABULOUS EIGHT to become unbalanced.
HAR HAR AT HEART began only fairly.
From the outside barrier, OVERSUBSCRIBED was steadied on jumping and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Near the 950 Metres, MOMENTUM GALAXY was checked when crowded for room between SUPER COMMANDER and HAPPY TANGO (H T Mo) which, after being bumped by HANDSOME REBEL (C Wong), then shifted in abruptly away from that horse.
The Stewards formed the view that H T Mo had reacted in a timely manner to his mount shifting in quickly after being bumped by HANDSOME REBEL, therefore no further action was taken other than C Wong was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstance to prevent his mounts from making contact with other runners.
Passing the 600 Metres, HANDSOME REBEL and HAPPY TANGO bumped.
Rounding the Home Turn, SUPER COMMANDER was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN which lay out.
After the 300 Metres, ACE TALENT was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SUPER COMMANDER when being shifted to the inside of that horse to obtain clear running.
Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, ACE TALENT was crowded for room between SUPER COMMANDER and FABULOUS EIGHT (K H Chan) which shifted out.
K H Chan was reprimanded and told that in similar circumstances he would be expected to do more than he did on this occasion to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
Then after the 100 Metres, ACE TALENT was again awkwardly placed outside the heels of FABULOUS EIGHT which lay out under pressure.
Throughout the race, CIRCUIT SEVEN and HANDSOME REBEL travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of SUPER COMMANDER and CIRCUIT SEVEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN and E RAINBOW were sent for sampling.

Favourite Pretty Queen Prawn kept finding after moving to the front 200m out chasing the leader on the fence for a second win from four starts this term. He's racing well and remains one to keep safe up in grade off a light weight. E Rainbow just held on for second after making his run behind midfield on the fence following a slow start. He had shown hints of ability in his three starts last season and does appear to be heading in the right direction now. Oversubscribed came on strongly near the inside from a detached spot to just miss second by a bob of the heads. He's capable but not easy to get right. Well-backed Handsome Rebel stayed on well to fill the frame after getting posted four deep without cover better than midfield. He was able to build on a win last start in Class Five. Fabulous Eight ran on steadily to nearly fill the frame after a one-off run behind midfield. He's naturally returning to form on his two starts this term. Momentum Galaxy ran on without menacing after making his run two from the rear. He's mixing his form. Lyrical Motion peaked on his run 100m out after getting every chance following a rail run in midfield.
