Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (555) - THE LUSITANO CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1650Meters
ROCKET SPADE jumped only fairly and then was crowded by RED MAJESTY which shifted in.
MY ECSTATIC knuckled on jumping.
HK DRAGON was slow to begin and approaching the 1500 Metres brushed with ROCKET SPADE when that runner shifted out slightly.
From the outside barrier, PEGASUS GENERAL was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, MIRACLE BEAMS was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages, then raced keenly in the early stages and subsequently finished tailed out.
The performance of MIRACLE BEAMS was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, MIRACLE BEAMS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After being crossed by HELENE FEELING near the 1200 Metres, ROCKET SPADE (C Y Ho) was then shifted to the outside of that runner, resulting in HK DRAGON being taken wider.
A short distance later, HK DRAGON was steadied to avoid the heels of WINNING DRAGON when that runner was eased slightly in an attempt to obtain cover.
C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres, PEGASUS GENERAL experienced difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of ROCKET SPADE.
Near the 250 Metres, HELENE FEELING improved into a narrow run between MY ECSTATIC and SILVER HAMMER and in doing so bumped SILVER HAMMER.
WINNING DRAGON raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection of WINNING DRAGON and HK DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HELENE FEELING and ROCKET SPADE were sent for sampling.

Second favourite Helene Feeling just overhauled Rocket Spade 30m out after taking the short route home following a lovely ride on the fence in midfield from gate nine. He relished the rise in trip after an eye-catching local debut over 1,200m. Favourite Rocket Spade found one just too good after hitting the front 150m out from behind midfield. He's racing well without winning. Well-backed Pegasus General dashed well to fill a placing without threatening the top two after making his run second last from an outside draw. He wasn't able to build on a win last start. Red Majesty stuck around for fourth after a speed-tracking run. He's in the right grade but the big weight took its toll. Silver Hammer came up one paced after getting all the favours in the box seat. He's stayed on well in his past three starts but may need a dip into Class Four to show his true colours. E Legend came up flat when asked for more after a prominent run. He's just not good enough at this level. Winning Dragon will sleep well after a wide run without cover from midfield.
