Well-backed Gallant Hero produced a well-timed effort to run down early favourite Mission Bravo and register back-to-back wins. He handled the dirt with aplomb, but the key to his improvement form has been stepping up to 1,800m. Mission Bravo did everything but win after finding the front quickly from gate six. He lived up to his improved last-start performance. Amazing Teens had his chance in the box seat but only plodded when Hugh Bowman urged him to give his all. His heavy weight took its toll, and he finished a distant third. Helene Allibor kept on reasonably well after going forward from his wide draw to track the leader. It was a fair effort off his career-low rating. Billionaire Secret ran on steadily to just miss the frame after travelling wide with cover behind midfield. It was a typical performance. Vincy came from last and widest out to finish next best. He is better on turf than dirt. Righteous Doctrine produced a mild bid after saving ground on the fence behind midfield. He has found things too hard in his past six starts around his current mark following back-to-back wins.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (649) - SHA TIN PASS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters

RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with GREAT BRILLIANT, resulting in GREAT BRILLIANT shifting out and bumping with BILLIONAIRE SECRET.

CHRYSOS jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Making the first turn near the 1400 Metres, BILLIONAIRE SECRET, which was inclined to lay out, was steadied away from KEEN UNITY when that runner shifted in slightly.

YEABOI raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and subsequently finished tailed out.

A veterinary inspection of YEABOI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of YEABOI was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, YEABOI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the race, R Maia (KEEN UNITY) reported that with his mount stepping up in distance tonight, it was inclined to race keenly and failed to finish the race off.
