Racing Incident Report
Race One : (74) - TSEUNG KWAN O HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 GOOD BOY (H209) K C Leung Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between SIX BEST FRIENDS and BELL OF VICTORY which was taken in by THETA HEDGE (L Hewitson).
L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care.
Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of TRONIC MIGHTY and made contact with DASHING TRIUMPH.
After the race, K C Leung reported that his mount was under pressure throughout the event due to the strong pace set over the 1000 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 DIAMOND SOARS (G201) Y L Chung Shortly after the start was bumped by TRONIC MIGHTY.
Was noted to have shifted its left front plate after the race.
Was sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 MULTIMORE (D443) H T Mo Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight.
Was sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 THETA HEDGE (E307) L Hewitson Shifted in at the start and became unbalanced when it bumped BELL OF VICTORY.
After the race, L Hewitson stated that, in his opinion, THETA HEDGE was unsuited by the fast early pace over the 1000 Metres and races best when it is able to dictate in front over a longer distance.
Trainer K W Lui agreed with the assessment of L Hewitson and stated that he would now endeavour to step THETA HEDGE up in distance for its next race start.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Was sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 TRONIC MIGHTY (E210) Z Purton Was bumped at the start.
Near the 600 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from MULTIMORE and then lay out in the middle stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
Before being allowed to race again, TRONIC MIGHTY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 6 HAPPY HORSE (H061) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped TRONIC MIGHTY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 DASHING TRIUMPH (G341) K Teetan Near the 250 Metres was bumped by GOOD BOY which shifted out.
Horse No 8 HAR HAR AT HEART (H035) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
For a short distance near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 10 BELL OF VICTORY (G116) K De Melo Was crowded shortly after the start.

Diamond Soars blasted to the front from gate 10 and kept on gamely to record his third win overall and second victory over Happy Valley's shortest trip. He appreciated reuniting with claiming apprentice Angus Chung Yik-lai following his two non-threatening runs this season under Keagan de Melo. Multimore ran on nicely to finish a close second after his handy run one off the rail. He has performed well in each of his three Happy Valley sprints this term and could break through soon. Dashing Triumph settled third last from barrier six and ran on near the outside to make it close for second. He improved with blinkers added to his gear. Har Har At Heart came from near last to just miss a placing. It was a better effort second up this season, and he is crying out for a 1,200m race. Specked late, Bell Of Victory came from the rear to finish the next best. His gear changes produced the best run of his career. Tronic Mighty was one-paced over the final 100m after finding a midfield spot one off the fence. He did not build on his last-start success. Favourite Theta Hedge never landed a blow after his midfield rail run. It was a below-par effort.
