Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (110) - EQUESTRIAN 1400M HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 MASTER EIGHT (E330) Y L Chung Crowded at the start.
Horse No 2 KEEFY (G306) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded on jumping.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379) B Avdulla Bumped with PRIME MINISTER near the 50 Metres.
Horse No 5 EASON (G061) A Badel Shifted out when it was bumped on jumping.
Inside the 100 Metres was bumped by DANCING CODE and was eased when positioned tight to the inside of THE GOLDEN SCENERY.
Horse No 6 MR ASCENDENCY (G227) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.
K C Leung (KEEFY) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 900 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of MR ASCENDENCY, resulting in MR ASCENDENCY being unnecessarily crowded and taken in onto MOMENTS IN TIME which was also unnecessarily crowded.
Both MOMENTS IN TIME and MR ASCENDENCY became badly unbalanced as a result.
After assessing the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 1 and having regard to his record, the Stewards determined the appropriate penalty to be a reprimand.

Horse No 7 FIND MY LOVE (H110) M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 8 DANCING CODE (G365) M Chadwick Passing the 400 Metres attempted a narrow run between PRIME MINISTER and THE GOLDEN SCENERY, but was disappointed and then shifted to the inside of THE GOLDEN SCENERY to obtain clear running.
Then near the 200 Metres improved into a tight run between SUPREME LUCKY and EASON and as a result shifted out and made contact with EASON and became unbalanced inside the 100 Metres.
Horse No 9 ALACRITY (H210) Z Purton From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Was held up for clear running between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SUPREME LUCKY (G457) L Hewitson Making the Home Turn was taken wider when MR ASCENDENCY shifted out to improve.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 13 PRIME MINISTER (D288) M F Poon From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 14 SWEET ENCOUNTER (G426) K Teetan Crowded at the start.
Near the 300 Metres became held up for clear running behind MR ASCENDENCY and did not obtain clear running until after the 250 Metres when it was shifted to that runner's outside.
GENERAL:
1.
Races 4 and 5 were each put back 5 minutes.

The Stewards today interviewed Mr W K Mo, trainer of REVE PARISIEN, regarding that horse working on the Small All Weather Track between 28 September 2023 and 18 October 2023, both dates inclusive, when that horse was precluded from working on this track on these days as a result of having suffered a heart irregularity for the second occasion after it raced on 18 June 2023.
In all the circumstances, Trainer Mo was fined a sum of $30,000.

Racing Laboratory tests of DIAMOND SOARS, MULTIMORE, THETA HEDGE, HAPPY JAI JAI, HAPPY HERO, CAPITAL LEGEND, TOURBILLON PRINCE, IVY LEAGUE, HAPPY FAT CAT, GOLDEN LUCK, WOOD ON FIRE, SERGEANT PEPPER, HAPPY DAY, KOWLOON EAST STAR, KILINDINI, AWESOME TREASURE, EXUBERANT, LEAN HERO, TURIN WARRIOR, LIGHTNING BOLT and SUGAR SUGAR (11.10.23) proved negative.

Atullibigeal nailed Alacrity close to home after finally gaining a clear run near the 200m following a rails run from behind midfield to land a betting move. Alacrity found one too good after getting the gaps to hit the lead 60m out following a patient ride among the backmarkers. Sauvestre kept on gamely for a placing after clearing for the lead 950m out. He had trialled better after a dull effort last month. Supreme Lucky stayed on well to fill a quartet spot after getting caught wide without cover from midfield. It was a good run up in grade trying a further 200m after a win. Dancing Code closed well to finish next best after pushing his way through a gap near the 100m from towards the rear. Prime Minister finished reasonably well with one wider out after biding his time near last from gate 14. Find My Love never landed a blow after straightening widest out ridden cold from gate 13. It was a below-par effort.
