Horse No 1 MOMENTS IN TIME (H474) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 WINNING DRAGON (E461) L Hewitson Near the 450 Metres shifted to the outside of IVY LEAGUE to obtain clear running as M UNICORN (H Bentley) improved around WINNING DRAGON.
When M UNICORN held a tight line to the outside of WINNING DRAGON, both runners made heavy contact, resulting in WINNING DRAGON and M UNICORN becoming unbalanced.
H Bentley was advised to exercise more care.
Near the 150 Metres was briefly crowded between IVY LEAGUE and M UNICORN which shifted in.
Horse No 3 PRIME MINISTER (D288) M F Poon From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 4 GALLANT WAKING (G165) C Y Ho From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 5 IVY LEAGUE (H116) L Ferraris After the race, L Ferraris stated that when his mount jumped well tonight, he was able to take up a more forward position than the horse obtained at its last start.
Horse No 6 ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE (H342) A Atzeni Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 7 THESIS (H111) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 8 TRADITION (J111) K Teetan Badly crowded on jumping by IVY LEAGUE which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Horse No 9 VIVA HUNTER (E369) H T Mo Jumped awkwardly and was bumped.
Horse No 10 FOOLISH HEART (J054) K C Leung After the race, K C Leung stated that the intention was to be more forward on his mount, but when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to come back and obtain cover behind M UNICORN.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 M UNICORN (G466) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and was bumped.
Near the 450 Metres became unbalanced when it bumped with WINNING DRAGON.

Second favourite Gallant Waking exploded down the outside after settling second last to overhaul Moments In Time in the final few metres. It was his fourth career win and first over the Valley's 1,650m. Following a speed-tracking run on the fence, Moments In Time found one too good after reclaiming the lead from Viva Hunter near the 200m marker. He appreciated the claimer's allowance after an improved fifth over the Valley's 1,650m last time out. Thesis stayed on for a pleasing third after making his run third on the fence. He's an improved runner for his new trainer this term. Favourite M Unicorn settled one off the fence behind midfield and got up for fourth after getting forced wide by Winning Dragon 500m out. Ivy League just held his ground after a prominent run. He's only gone OK in two of three starts following a win. Winning Dragon kept on evenly in the straight run after repeatedly bumping M Unicorn 450m out travelling one off in midfield. Prime Minister ran on without threatening when he was ridden for luck out the back from gate 11.
