Recap by phillip woo

Following a prominent run on the fence, favourite Red Hare King hit the lead 100m out and held off the late surge of Amazing Teens for a first win from seven starts this term. He deserved that win after placing in three of four prior starts over the Valley's 1,650m. Amazing Teens dashed nicely down the outside to finish a close second after a one-off trip behind midfield. He relished a return to the 1,800m course. Samarkand stayed on well for third after a one-off trip in midfield. It was another good run carrying more weight following back-to-back wins. Punted late, Super Baby settled in the box set and peaked on his run 50m out after poking his head in front 150m from home. It wasn't a bad effort following a last start win. Following a rail run better than midfield, Beau Gosse loomed a chance 150m but came up flat inside the last 100m. He needed the run at just his second start this term. Double Win weakened over the last 100m after easily finding the front 1,400m out from the widest draw. He wasn't ready to tackle the 1,650m after finishing second over 1,200m at Sha Tin.
