Race Two : (552) - SHAM TSENG HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 3 BEAU GOSSE (G389) B Avdulla From the 750 Metres raced wide and without cover and lay out on the Home Turn.
Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when racing tight between DAILY TROPHY and SUPER JOY.
Horse No 4 HO HO STAR (H291) A Hamelin Making the turn near the 600 Metres hung out and made contact with DOUBLE SHOW, resulting in HO HO STAR becoming unbalanced.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 YEABOI (G372) B Thompson A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 DAILY TROPHY (H283) H Bowman Jumped only fairly, shifted in and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 DOUBLE SHOW (G250) L Ferraris Slow to begin.
After the race, L Ferraris reported that after being bumped and taken wider by HO HO STAR near the 600 Metres DOUBLE SHOW then failed to finish the race off from that point.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 SUPER JOY (G251) M Chadwick Slow to begin.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 ALL IS READY (G042) K C Leung After the race, K C Leung reported that near the 300 Metres his mount was brushed by SUPER JOY when that runner shifted out and from there on did not finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Favourite Super Joy just got up to win a thriller after travelling on the rail behind midfield. The win was thoroughly deserved after he finished second in four other runs over the dirt 1,200m this term. Well-backed Daily Trophy ran on nicely to make it close on the wire after settling wide with cover behind midfield. It was another good run over the dirt 1,200m. Punted late, Spangle Fortune wouldn't go down without a fight after moving to the lead 150m out. It was a better run with the claim well utilised after misfiring on his last start following a win. Noir Rider stuck on well for fourth after settling in a prominent position on the fence. He had his chance but is limited. Beau Gosse stayed on nicely to finish a fifth after settling wide without cover trip in midfield. It was a pleasing run after a wide trip trying the dirt for the first time. Happy Tango only plodded over the last 200m after chasing the speed. It was another costly performance by Super Axiom, who received plenty of late marker support and easily found the front but was stopping 100m out.
